Predator vs Prey

During they’re travels, the rabbits are attacked by crow. This is one of the first examples of a “predator vs prey” moment in the book. As the bird goes to attack hazel; one of the youngest in the group, blackberry, who is the biggest and strongest, hits him with his paw to scare him away. This is probably the most realistic and re-occurring example of nature in the book. Not only with crows, but other wild animals;rats in particular.
